THIS JUST IN! - Greg
Godovitz: renowned musician, singer, songwriter, author,
record producer and performer has packed up and left his
beloved Toronto for a
new life in Calgary. "An opportunity came up for my gal and
myself that was too good to pass up", says Greg. "It's always
been about me so this time we changed the rules and we've both
landed on our feet in what looks like the promised land. "With
two years and over a hundred ROCK TALK shows under his
belt, Greg has been busy putting together a new radio show for
the Calgary market with an end to national syndication and the
internet. "Godo's Grotto will feature in-depth
interviews, live performance and songs you don't usually hear
on radio," says Greg. "I also plan on continuing as a
performer, a record producer and I'm looking to step up my
writing with a newspaper column at some point." Before leaving
Toronto, Greg passed the torch to ex-Jitter Blair Packham who
will join Bob Reid as co-host of Toronto's
1010 CFRB-Rock Talk. |

"Music is such a huge
part of everyone's lives. Anytime I have friends over for dinner,
it's only a matter of time before the conversation shifts to music -
who's hot, who's not, what people are listening to, music is part of
the fabric of our lives. That's what inspires me to keep
performing". If ever Rock n' Roll tales are to be told,
chances are Greg Godovitz has lived and breathed them. His
380-page life chronicle, Travels With My Amp,
explores the fulfillment of every teen's dream of being in a rock
band.

A strong songwriter and arranger, Gregs limitless creative
ideas, coupled with his vocal, bass and guitar talents, are a plus
in any studio setting. He enjoys producing Rock and Pop but loves
all music. A 40-year veteran of the Canadian music business, he's
using his considerable skills as a record producer for up and comers and established
talent. Looking to the year ahead Greg hosts weekly radio show 'RockTalk' on
CFRB
in Toronto, producing records and as always,
performing live. Don't forget to sign the GODOBILLY
guestbook. Greg would like to hear from U!
